Study God’s Word
Jesus said, “Learn of me… and ye shall find rest unto your souls” (Matthew 11:29). God wishes to have a close relationship with His children, who He sees as His spiritual offspring. Reading about God and how He has assisted His people throughout history greatly increases our knowledge of Him. Divine revelation can be found in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Each relates how God has rescued, blessed, and occasionally humiliated His people. The accounts of Jesus' healings and pardons found in the New Testament are worth thinking about. Alma the Younger's tale about how God answered his father's request may be found in the Book of Mormon (see Mosiah 26–28). Millions of individuals have experienced God's love and acceptance thanks to the teachings of the Bible and the Book of Mormon.
